Flat Andrew!

Excited that Flat Andrew is visiting us for a couple of weeks in April 2014
He soooo wanted to make a snow angel in Doo-Dah's April snow!
He tried to hide from us in a Redbud tree while waiting on the Douglass kiddos to arrive at the Great Plains Nature Center.
Kinda made me nervous when he scooted on out to the skinny part of the limbs. Yikes!
Flat Andrew and Grammy waiting for the buses to arrive.
Yay!  They made it!  Flat Andrew wanted to hold hands with Andrew and Grammy.
Do you see Flat Andrew as he listens to the songs about habitats?
Flat Andrew watched the sunrise at the Dwight D. Eisenhower airport in Wichita as he waited for his flight to Chicago
He had his own seat on the plane and buckled up for safety!
The nice lady across the aisle from us let Flat Andrew look out her window --- he loved the view from high in the sky!
After getting to Chicago, he had a little power nap with Aunt Lulu
Flat Andrew's first trip to a Great Lake -- Lake Michigan!
Then we went to see God's Not Dead.
.
Flat Andrew, Grandpa, and Grammy all went to the clinic after the trip to Chicago.
Grandpa had pneumonia, but Flat Andrew had a good checkup, other than being a little underweight

He got to go with Uncle Doug & Aunt Sheila to see Heather's Titanantics musical at Wichita South High
Uncle Doug helped him keep his seat down at the play
Flat Andrew thought our faces were funny
Yay - another school program!  This time it's Asher's Mother Goose kindergarten program

Flat Andrew got to meet Andrew's and Asher's cousin Emma

Grammy photo bombed Flat Andrew's selfie
Grammy, Grandpa, and Flat Andrew thought Asher rocked his program!

After the program, Flat Andrew gave the boys t-shirts from his Chicago trip
Avery, the Great Dane, loves to let Flat Andrew ride around on her back
After such a busy evening, Flat Andrew really enjoyed a cool drink of water
April 29 was soooo cold and windy that Flat Andrew asked Grammy to knit him a scarf!
Grandpa made sure Flat Andrew had a T-SHIRT and HOTDOG!
Flat Andrew heard about planking and decided to give it a try at IHOP after breakfast
He planked again when we went for our walk at the Arkansas River
Not as easy as it looks with 40-50 mph wind gusts
We all liked the memorial on the riverwalk that honors the heroes of the Vietnam War
He wrapped up his week by going with Grandpa and Grammy to their workamping job at Air Capital RV Park
he watched Grammy as she checked campers in and out
he helped her add fees for the rv'ers
Grandpa has the coolest job!  He gets to ride around the rv park in a golf cart!
Yay! He let Flat Andrew drive!

they did a little cleaning
And Grandpa let Flat Andrew help him mop
Grandpa doesn't drive this, but  Flat Andrew did get to play on it -- only because he's flat
They picked up the trash the guests left out
Grandpa and Flat Andrew picked up some of the trash that the wind blew in
Yikes!! Don't throw me away, Grandpa!
Time for Flat Andrew to go back off to school -- he is taking his classmates some cool stickers
And Mrs. Player will get a summer infinity scarf
David and I really enjoyed our adventures with Flat Andrew these last 2 and 1/2 weeks!  Andrew hinted that we may end up getting to give Flat Andrew a forever home! :)
