Birds of South Llano River State Park

Winter 2016

David had taken some wonderful bird pix around the park this winter.  There are 4 bird blinds in the park and we had some feeders set up around the camper.  So we were blessed to be able to sit in our rig and get some great pix. And it seems each time we went out on the trails we saw some exciting birds.  March and April are big birding months at SLRSP as many are migrating through.  We won't be here then, but will be following them on Facebook.

The bird blinds at SLRSP:

Acorn Blind

Agargita Blind got a lot of action from professional photographers
Many folks saw the Olive Sparrow at the Agarita blind.  We weren't fortunate enough to see him, but we "chatted" with him once using our Sibley app.  One couple told me they watched a gray fox come and go at this blind to get a drink one afternoon.

Lora's Blind was mighty busy while we were there with a good variety

Rocky enjoyed watching the birds from the camper, too
